The ABB CI858-1 3BSE018137R1 is a CAN bus communication module designed for ABB AC800M controller and 800xA DCS system. It realizes real-time data exchange between AC800M controller and CAN bus field devices. It comes with isolated CAN interface and comprehensive communication diagnostics. This module supports hot swap function, widely used in power, chemical, pulp & paper and oil & gas industrial process control applications.

Content Details

CI858-1 consists of communication card and matching baseplate, installed on AC800M controller rack. It transmits cyclic process data and diagnostic signals over CAN bus. The galvanic isolation protects the controller from field surge and electromagnetic noise. LED indicators display module operation status and bus faults to help engineers quickly locate faults on site. It is configured by Control Builder M engineering software. Industrial hardware layout ensures stable operation under vibration and harsh electromagnetic environment. It is used as spare part for 800xA DCS maintenance and system retrofit. Each unit passes full function test and thermal aging test before shipment.
