The ABB CI830 3BSE013252R1 is an AF100 fieldbus communication module designed for ABB AC800M controller and 800xA DCS system. It establishes AF100 bus connection between AC800M and S800 I/O stations. It supports high-speed cyclic data transmission and built-in bus monitoring. The module supports hot swap function, widely used in power, chemical, pulp & paper and oil & gas industrial process control.

Content Details

CI830 is installed on AC800M controller rack to communicate with S800 I/O clusters via AF100 fieldbus. It transfers real-time process values and diagnostic alarms between controller and remote I/O modules. Galvanic isolation protects control side circuits from field surge and electromagnetic noise. LED indicators display module working status and bus faults for convenient on-site inspection and rapid fault location. It is configured through Control Builder M engineering software. Rugged industrial PCB ensures stable performance under vibration and complex electromagnetic environment. It is used as spare replacement part for 800xA DCS maintenance and system retrofit. Each unit passes full function test and thermal aging test before shipment.
