The ABB IW93-2 HESG440356R1 HESG216678B is a communication interface board for ABB REG216 generator and transformer protection system. It establishes serial data links for protection device parameter setting, measurement data uploading and fault record transmission. ABB IW93-2 serves as communication interface inside REG216 protection rack. It communicates with the main processor via backplane bus and converts internal rack data into serial communication signals. Users can download protection settings, view real-time electrical measurements and retrieve fault event records through this module. Onboard self-diagnosis continuously monitors communication circuit and link status, logs communication failures to speed up troubleshooting and reduce maintenance downtime. It works together with REG216 processor, analog input, binary I/O and relay output modules to complete full protection functions.
